Marketing workshop – health & social care providers

August 27, 2021

I ran a two-day marketing workshop on behalf of a member organisation for local health and social care providers. The first day was attended by 18 individuals from 15 member organisations.

The learning was based on a mix of marketing theory and practical application. When pulling together the content I used my broad experience of marketing in a range of organisations as well as the specific issues faced by health and social care organisations.

Following the first day the attendees produced their draft marketing strategy and the second day was spent discussing these strategies in further detail.

16 attendees completed a feedback form following the first session and the results were as follows:

  • 100% agreed that the workshop lived up to their expectations
  • 93% agreed that the content was relevant to their job
  • 88% agreed that the workshop activities stimulated their learning
  • 95% agreed that the workshop was pitched at the right level
  • 100% agreed that the instructor was well prepared
  • 100% agreed that the instructor was helpful
  • 93% agreed that they would be able to use what they learned in the workshop

Some of the comments received include:

“I found yesterday useful and it was so good to have a presenter who really knew the sector and understood the problems we are all facing.”

“You’ll be pleased to know that the next day I implemented one change immediately – I turned off the answerphone (normally turned on after lunch when we have no admin support). That very afternoon I took a call regarding a £1,000 donation! So thank you!”

“It was a very useful workshop and well worth the time out of the office.”
